Cambridge Road Community Kindergarten endeavours to provide quality education to children/tamariki from 3 years of age until they commence school, promoting and extending each child's learning and development.
We aim to meet the social, physical and emotional needs of the children/tamariki in our care, helping each child/tamaiti reach his/her potential. The kindergarten exists to promote the well being of each child/tamaiti. We strive to help children/tamariki feel valued and accepted by staff and their peers and will foster a sense of belonging. Parents, whanau and carers are at all times welcome in our centre as appropriate.
We want Cambridge Road Community Kindergarten to be the centre of choice for all families/whanau in this area whose needs we meet - a centre parents want their children/tamariki to attend so our wonderful word of mouth advertising continues. We strive to be friendly and welcoming for all families/whanau, children/tamariki and visitors/manuhiri. We want to help children/tamariki develop confidence, persistence and enthusiasm to find out more and try new things.
We want to provide a place where a dynamic, child initiated programme is offered and where parents can expect that their particular aspirations for their children/tamariki are met. We want somewhere children/tamariki know their interests and abilities will be recognised and built on so that what they are learning and experiencing has relevance to them individually and collectively.
